Login options

There are three different methods to log in to DRACOON:

• Login by DRACOON user name (e.g. by e-mail address, standard procedure)
• Logon via Active Directory
• Login via OpenID Connect

Which login procedure you can use depends on which login procedure the user manager has specified for you.

Separate login data is used for each login procedure, i.e. a separate user name and password for each login procedure.

Login by DRACOON username (standard procedure)

Login via DRACOON username is the default setting.

Enter the following data in the login fields:

• Username: Your DRACOON username (by default this is your e-mail address)
• Password: Your DRACOON password

Login via Active Directory

Login via Active Directory is only available from the Enterprise Cloud product variant and if it has been configured and activated by the configuration manager.

Enter the following data in the login fields:

• Username The respective Active Directory username

  From Version 4.13 of DRACOON onwards no Active Directory domain may be prefixed to the username, e.g. DOMAIN\username. Even in earlier DRACOON versions in the vast majority of cases the specification of the username without domain is sufficient.

• Password: The password for the corresponding user from the Active Directory

Login via OpenID Connect

Furthermore, it is possible for you to authenticate via OpenID Connect, if it is enabled by the configuration manager.

Click Login and enter the following data in the login field that appears:

• Username: The respective username, e.g. your e-mail address
• Password: The associated password of the user

Failed logins

Initial login: Accept EULA / Assign new password

When registering for the first time at a DRACOON, the terms of use generally have to be read and accepted.
Furthermore, you need to set your own password.

Required length and characters of the password was set by the configuration manager.
As soon as you have defined a suitable password, you can log in to DRACOON with this password in future.
After successful login, the data rooms to which you are authorized to access are displayed.

Password forgotten

The Forgotten password? function can be called on the login page when you log in by DRACOON username (not by Active Directory or OpenID Connect).

To request a new password:

1. Click Forgotten password?.
2. Enter your username (usually this is your email address).
3. Click Reset Password.
4. You will then receive an e-mail with information and a link to a web page where you can set a new password for DRACOON.
