Problem
If a file is dragged and dropped into a mail draft to attach it to the mail, it is not converted into a share link by DRACOON for Outlook, although the setting Automatically convert attachments to shares is active. The problem occurs only since a recent update of Office 365 and only when the attachment is added by drag & drop.
Solution for DRACOON Cloud users and workaround for on-premises users
This problem was solved in Version 5.8 of DRACOON for Outlook (for DRACOON Cloud users).
On-Premises customers, for whom version 5.8 is not yet available, we recommend not to attach a file to an e-mail by drag & drop, but to use the command Attach file in the Outlook menu ribbon, because then the attachment will be recognized correctly by DRACOON for Outlook and converted into a share link.
Cause
Microsoft changed the internal processing of file attachments added via drag & drop with the December 2019 Office 365 update, which caused them to no longer be recognized by DRACOON for Outlook.
