Software

There are no special software requirements for the reverse proxy. Any conventional reverse proxy can be used. That includes, for example:

• HAProxy
• Apache
• nginx
• Kemp Loadbalancer
• F5

Hardware

There are no special requirements for the hardware used. 

Scalability and Redundancy

Scalability and redundancy depend on the reverse proxy solution used and must therefore be discussed with the service provider in question. In general, multiple reverse proxies are configured in a cluster and controlled accordingly.
