System Requirements
Software
The following databases are officially tested and supported:
- MariaDB 10.0 or later (https://mariadb.com)
Hardware
There are no special requirements for the hardware used. The components can be operated on any standard commercial x86 server.
Scalability and Redundancy
For scalability, either the hardware resources of the relevant server, such as the CPU and RAM, can be increased, or additional servers with this component can be installed in parallel and configured as a database cluster.
If a redundant setup is required, it is sufficient to install additional servers with this component and configure them as a database cluster. We recommend using MariaDB with Galera Cluster as the clustered database. In this constellation, note that only one database server can be actively written to at any time. If automatic failover is required, we recommend using an additional load balancer between the API and database servers.
