When DRACOON for teams is set up for channel conversations and chats, you have the following options for sharing content from DRACOON with other Teams users:
Upload and share / Share from DRACOON
This is used to share a file, folder or entire data room from DRACOON, where the share link is automatically generated and inserted into the conversation or chat in teams. When clicking on the share link, other team users can then view the shared item (for PDF files, photos, DICOM medical images and videos) or download it from DRACOON.
A share can also be password protected or have an expiration date, for example.
With shares you make elements from DRACOON available to teams users for the view or download, who are not set up in DRACOON as users or are not authorized to access the shared element in DRACOON.
Difference between "Upload and share" and "Share from DRACOON".
- With "Upload and share" you upload a file in DRACOON and create a share for it.
- With "Share from DRACOON" you create a share for a file that was uploaded to DRACOON earlier and is therefore already in DRACOON.
Copy direct link
Hereby you send other DRACOON users in teams a link on a file, a folder or whole data space in DRACOON and can refer these thus to an element in DRACOON. When clicking on the link, the linked element is opened in the DRACOON Web App for the respective user.
Links to elements in DRACOON can only be used by Teams users who also use DRACOON and have access rights to the linked data room there.
Request files
Hereby you make a data room or folder in DRACOON available to other team users for uploading files. This works even if they are not DRACOON users or do not have general access rights to the data room or folder. Also here password protection and numerous setting possibilities are optionally available.
