With DRACOON for Mac, you can integrate your DRACOON as a volume in the Finder.

Installation
- Double-click the downloaded Zip file. The DRACOON program is unpacked into the Downloads folder:
- Move the DRACOON program file to the Applications. To do this, drag the item to the Applications folder.
- In the Applications folder, double-click to open the DRACOON program. You will then be asked if you really want to open the program downloaded from the Internet. Confirm the question with Open:
- After you have opened DRACOON, the DRACOON icon appears in the menu bar:
- To ensure that all DRACOON commands are integrated into the Finder, you need to activate Finder for DRACOON in System Settings > Extensions:
Using
- In the menu bar, click the DRACOON icon.
- Click New Bookmark. After doing so, the dialog box for specifying the server settings will be displayed:
- For 1, select the authentication method of your DRACOON.
- For 2, enter the server address of your DRACOON.
- Click Connect to permanently bookmark the entry and connect to the specified
DRACOON. - The dialog box for entering the access data is displayed:
Enter your username and password for the DRACOON and click Login.
To avoid having to re-enter the data each time, you can select the Add to keychain option.
- If you use encrypted data rooms, you must provide your decryption password to access the encrypted files:
In the text box, enter your personal decryption password and click Continue.
- After successfully connecting to DRACOON, Finder will display your DRACOON as a network drive as well as additionally a DRACOON icon in the Finder toolbar.
Additional operating instructions
- To make a file available for download from the DRACOON to external users, right-click on the desired file. Then click Create Share Link in the context menu:
- To open the DRACOON location of a file (Data room or Folder) in the Web browser, right-click the file, point to Open URL, and then click HTTPS URL:
- To update Finder with the latest online content from the DRACOON, right-click the item and then click Reload:
- To disconnect from the DRACOON drive, click on the DRACOON icon in the menu bar, select the appropriate bookmark (network connection), and then click Disconnect:
- To disconnect from the DRACOON drive, click on the DRACOON icon in the menu bar, select the appropriate bookmark (network connection), and then click Connect:
Note: An established connection is automatically restored each time your Mac is restarted. If you do not want this to happen and instead manually connect to it as needed, click Settings and deselect the Back up my environment checkbox.
- To make a file available for download from the DRACOON to external users, right-click on the desired file. Then click Create Share Link in the context menu:
