In DRACOON for Teams, there are two ways to share items from DRACOON with members of a team: "Share from DRACOON" and "Copy direct link".
Copy direct link
Purpose: Share DRACOON items with co-users of a data room
Use "Copy direct link" if you want to point co-users of a data room to a file or folder in the data room (or the data room itself) in Microsoft Teams. The users receive a link in Teams that takes them directly to the item in the DRACOON Web App.
Example: You have created a new folder in a data room in DRACOON and would like to ask the co-users of the data room to store certain files there. Create a link to the folder with DRACOON for Teams in your team channel with a corresponding note.
Share from DRACOON
Purpose: Share DRACOON items with non-users of a data room
Use "Share from DRACOON" if the people with whom you want to share the item from DRACOON do not use DRACOON (are not set up as users in DRACOON) or are DRACOON users but do not have access rights to the item in DRACOON.
"Share from DRACOON" gives users the explicit ability to download or preview (for PDF files, images, and videos in non-encrypted data rooms) the item, but they cannot make changes to it in DRACOON.
Example: You have stored a PDF document in your department's data room, but you want all colleagues in your company to be aware of and view it—not just those who are authorized to access your department room. With "Share from DRACOON", create a share of the PDF file, which is then generally available via the share link in the company channel in Teams.
