About this release

Version 6.0 of the DRACOON WebDAV Proxy was rolled out on the DRACOON cloud on March 10, 2021 and replaces the previous version 5.3.1.

Improvement

In version 6.0 of the DRACOON WebDAV Proxy now also so-called Office Owner Files are automatically uploaded. These temporary files are created by Microsoft Word or Excel, for example, when opening documents and exist as long as the document is open. With the help of Office Owner Files, Word and Excel, for example, implement a file locking mechanism that prevents multiple users from editing the document at the same time. As a result of this change, the file locking mechanism of Microsoft Office now works on DRACOON WebDAV drives.

Bug fix

Version 6.0 of DRACOON WebDAV Proxy fixes the problem that PDF and PowerPoint files on DRACOON WebDAV volumes cannot be opened with the Mac in certain cases.
