This section provides you with technical information about updating the DRACOON server components.
This information is intended for administrators who operate DRACOON in their own data centre (“on premise”) or support such installations for end customers.
You can ignore this information if your DRACOON is operated by DRACOON GmbH (that is, if you are using the product version Online, Dedicated or Branded Cloud).
Server System Requirements for DRACOON
- Java 8 or OpenJDK 1.8
- Apache Tomcat 7
- MariaDB 10.0+
Downloading the DRACOON Server Components
You can download the DRACOON server components here:

The steps required to update the DRACOON installation on your server to a new version:
- Step 1: Check the database time zone tables
- Step 2: Check the Java version
- Step 3: Check the MySQL/MariaDB version
- Step 4: Check the Tomcat version
- Step 5: Update the API
- Step 6: Update the proxies
- Step 7: Update the WebUI
