Please note:
This information is primarily relevant for administrators. This page describes the possibilities of deploying DRACOON for Android via an MDM system.
Starting with version 5.3 of DRACOON for Android, MDM systems compatible with AppConfig (appconfig.org) are supported. AppConfig is an association of many well-known MDM manufacturers to establish a common standard. Please see the documentation of your MDM system to find out whether it is compatible with AppConfig.
With an AppConfig-compatible MDM system, you can import the DRACOON app via the public Google Play Store and distribute it to your users. Please refer to your system documentation for details on this procedure. In addition to a controlled rollout to your users, you can use AppConfig's "App Configuration" to pass the following parameter and thus provide a preconfigured app:
serverURL
Set this parameter to the valid URL of your DRACOON instance. If this value is set, your users will no longer be asked which DRACOON environment they want to connect to. Furthermore, already at the first start of the app (and not after the login) the customized branding is loaded from the specified DRACOON server (if a correctly configured branding service was found there).
Please refer to the documentation of the respective manufacturer for details on the configuration of your MDM system in order to transfer parameters to an app.
