About this release
Version 6.2 of DRACOON for Android for DRACOON cloud users was released on August 31, 2021 in Google Play Store and replaces the previous version 6.1.
NewDisplay of classification for each file
The classification of a file is now displayed for each file—it is no longer necessary to open Details to view them. The view is similar to the DRACOON Web App: Different colored dots indicate the classification of each file:
NewChange file classification
The classification of a file can now be changed directly in DRACOON for Android—it is no longer necessary to switch to the DRACOON Web App for this.
NewAbility to create random secure passwords for shares and file requests
Previously only available in DRACOON for Outlook, now also available in DRACOON for Android: Creators of shares and file requests now don't have to find complex passwords anymore on their own. By tapping the button, a random complex password is automatically generated that meets the specified password requirements. Afterward, the password can be copied to the clipboard right away for forwarding using the new Copy button right next to the Generate Password button.
NewSupport for upcoming classification-dependent password policy for shares
On the DRACOON cloud, the configuration manager will soon be able to specify a global new policy: It will determine whether shares must be password-protected if the file has a certain classification level (such as "confidential" or higher). The new version 6.2 of DRACOON for Android will automatically support this policy when it will become available on the DRACOON cloud.
- Version 6.2 of DRACOON for Android for DRACOON cloud users contains one bug fix: Under Android 11, using the app command Take photo in a data room might cause a crash of DRACOON for Android.
